Linderhof is a castle in the Graswangtal valley in northwest Bavaria, near the Ettal abbey. It was built by Bavarian king Ludwig II. of Bavaria on the location of his father, Maximillian II of Bavaria's royal home. It is the smalles and only castle finished during the reign of Ludwig II.
